Print V’s Digital Books: Which one should I use?
This needs careful consideration according to the situation, student(s) and particular lesson you need it for. How do I decide whether this print book or e-book is the best choice for the diverse needs of my students? The bottom line in selecting the right one is what experiences does the digital product provide that the print version can’t? This makes the TL at the centre of the decision making and selection of resources. Regardless of the quality of the digital resource the teacher/TL needs to consider the classroom context it is being used for to help with their final decision. Furthermore, the TL needs to embrace the idea of using technology to enhance learning experiences. Technology will not make books disappear as much as storytelling did not disappear when books appeared. Finally, the focus should always be how content is integrated and enhanced with every new format that comes along.
