Available dates for GPS tracking events at Chiltern-Mt Pilot National Park are:

• Friday 6 - Sunday 8 October 2023

The meeting point for the event is on Chiltern-Yackandandah Road, next to the park entry at Tower Hill Road (-36.155734, 146.626158)

At the meeting point prior to departure, researchers will provide you with a GPS device and safety briefing. The GPS device has satellite communications in case of emergency.

We ask that you walk (with the GPS) to the intersection of White Box Road and Ballarat Road (-36.162952, 146.65194) and back to meet the researchers at the meeting point. You can travel to the intersection via any tracks you choose. Upon return, we will retrieve the GPS and ask you a few questions about your experience. We also will provide morning/afternoon tea.
