- Occasion
- Type of material
- Level of difficulty
- Genre, and even
- Colour
Tools to assist TL’s in the organisation of resources can include:
- Library catalogues
- Periodical databases
- Citation databases
- Image and other special kinds of database
- Bibliographies and subject guides
- Online subject gateways and directories, and
- Search engines
All of which include various amounts of metadata.
