About Me

Hi there! I have previously worked in the financial sector after completing an Economics Degree. I also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Secondary Education. I worked in many schools as a secondary school teacher specialising in HSIE. After having a career break whilst raising two children, I reflected on which direction I should take when I returned to the workforce. Librarianship appealed to me greatly, however it seemed like a large leap to commence studying again – especially Masters of Education (Teacher Librarianship). I decided to enrol and begin a new path for myself, one that is exciting and unknown.

I have always been a book worm. My father instilled a love of books in me, taking me every weekend to Dymocks book store. I always had a book with me and spent many a night reading with my torch! I continue to read, not nearly as much as I would like, but it is a goal of mine to read 52 books this year. I would love to be able to inspire students to read, to fall in love with stories and escaping into other worlds and adventures. Teachers are time poor and to help them find resources that will enrich students learning would be very rewarding,.

I’m looking forward to the challenges ahead! Please say hi!!!!
