Using the Classic Editor

The Classic Editor was the original WordPress editor and is made up of two editors: the Visual Editor and the Text Editor.

A few key points:

• The current WordPress editor is known as the block editor and was launched in late 2018.
• You can switch from the classic editor to the block editor in Settings > Writing.
• Beginning in 2025, CSU Thinkspace has switched to the Block Editor as the default browser for new sites. However, you can switch back to the Classic Editor if you prefer.
