The Australian Museum Archive holds a large collection of artefacts and materials from the past. This is particularly useful when resourcing the History Curriculum (ETL503, Resourcing the Curriculum). The Australian Museum protects, restores and ensures that artefacts of the past are maintained for information into the future. This sites public record keeping and artefacts means that the information being accessed by students can be first hand accounts from 1836 onwards. When Resourcing the Curriculum of history, it is important that the Teacher Librarian is able to provide students with access to a variety of resources, the archives is one way to access a variety of written records and images of artefacts from the time period.

Unfortunately with the current closure for renovation the services and visits are very limited and so I will likely have to wait until Spring 2020 to visit and view records of the past.
