I love that I have been able to work in an environment where engaging people with information and learning opportunities are a large focus. I have relished opportunities to connect with young people and instil in them a sense of curiosity and a love of learning. My role at Ringwood (REALM) library was a great opportunity to achieve this and the STEM-focused holiday activities I developed were one time when I was able to get young people and their parents excited about learning together.
With a large focus on outreach, my current role was dramatically impacted by Covid-19 restrictions, however, I was able to quickly broaden my skill set and take on new responsibilities such as video editing. The image above was taken to promote an online Storytime which was a new role I undertook during Covid-19 restrictions. This ability to think creatively and willingness to be flexible allows me to make almost any situation work out beneficially.
