Hello everyone 🙂

This is the first post in my reflective blog for ETL401. In this first entry, I would like to reflect on my first week in this course and my learning experiences so far.

It has been so interesting reading about the diverse role of the Teacher Librarian. It doesn’t just involve providing students and teachers with resources; it is also about providing students and teachers with the knowledge to find resources themselves, to question sources and literature, to effectively research and discover new pieces of information and no doubt I will learn the many more roles Teacher Librarians are involved in.

The topics that are the most pressing to me at the moment are;

• How will I build my collection?
• How will I demonstrate my ability to be a quality information specialist?
• What is involved in the management of a library?

I am very excited to begin this journey and have all my questions answered as well as form new questions along the way!
