Welcome to my new CSU Thinkspace blog, which I’ve named Creating Connections.
Some of you may have already come across my online portfolio where I host a blog called Linking Learning. That has been my main blog space for the past five years. However, now that I’ve taken up a new position as Lecturer at CSU, I wanted to familiarise myself with the Thinkspace site the students of the MEd. Teacher Librarianship course work within.
I’m not sure how much blogging I’ll get done here – I have a feeling that I’m going to be pretty busy – but my plan is to keep Linking Learning as my main blog space, but to also maintain this blog as a space for random TL related items. Hence the name Creating Connections. I may end up reproducing work across the two sites – I’m really not too sure!
But for today, I’d like to share a short video introducing the role of the Teacher Librarian. It’s a role I’m obviously passionate about. Every school community deserves a well resourced school library managed and led by a qualified Teacher Librarian. Enjoy!

Thank you for this post Kay! The video was so informative and encouraging as I start the MEd Teacher Librarianship degree. I absolutely love the quote from Michael Moore at the end…yes, I agree, we are a “dangerous group…plotting the revolution”! Ha!
So glad you found it useful :).
Powerful informative video!
