Resources for your students

 

 

A number of resources are available to students to help them develop their Information & Research Literacies. These resources can be linked to or embedded in your subject site and providing generic, self-directed learning opportunities at the point of need.

 

Library Resource Guides

Library Resource Guides provide a curated collection of library and information resources for CSU disciplines and key study areas. These guides can be a starting point for students’ research,  and steer them towards resources relevant to their studies.

Library Resource Guides can be :

  • Added to your subject’s Interact 2 site.
  • Developed for your particular discipline in consultation with Library staff

Videos

The Library has created a number of video tutorials that provide visual content in a concise format. These videos can be embedded into your Interact sites or linked to, providing support to students at a point of need.  Video content includes

  • how to use library resources and services
  • how to use different search tools
  • information concepts such as peer review or topic analysis

Online Library Workshops

The Library holds Online Library Workshops (OLWs) at the beginning of each session. These sessions are designed to develop students’ generic skills and knowledge in the tools and platforms found within the Library collection. Topics covered include:

Introduction to Library Services
Finding Online Journal Articles
Using eBooks
EndNote
Promote these your students and link them to the OLW page.

 

LinkedIn Learning

LinkedIn Learning is a collection of online professional training videos covering a range of personal skills and software tools. For more information, please refer to our instructional guide.
