Interventions

What support is offered to students?

The Embedded program offers a range of support options that can be tailored to the requirements of the subject and student needs.

Research Skills Guides are are used to demonstrate a number of skills and resources your students may use in their assessment task. These guides can be linked to from your Interact site and provide a customised self-paced online modules that can be:

  • customised to specific assessment items
  • accessed through your subject’s Interact 2 site
  • assessed with an associated quiz

Information Literacy Classes are a great way for students to develop their skills in this area. Classes are delivered in a range of formats including lectures and hands on workshops, providing students with the opportunity to ask questions in the context of the subject. They are tailored to suit your research assessments and can be delivered in a variety of platforms:

  • Adobe Connect
  • Face to face in lectures or tutorials
  • Pre-recorded
  • Residential schools

Librarian moderated forums provide students with an avenue to contact the Library outside our regular contact points. Using a forum allows students

  • Access to a librarian who is already familiar with their subject
  • to remain in your subject site while seeking support
  • the exposure to relevant resources and services the Librarian may suggest,
  • to be aware of known issues and disruptions in the Library services
