Call for Papers

The FOBJBS HDR Symposium provides HDR students with an opportunity to network with other students and academics in the Faculty, present their research, and seek broader feedback on their progress. This year we are having the symposium on 03-05 November 2021. The Symposium will be organized online.

All HDR students in the School of Computing and Mathematics are encouraged to submit a short paper of no more than four pages, which will be reviewed by two academics. The feedback will be provided to students, and final short papers will be published in print. Students will be invited to present their short articles in the Symposium. As usual, the Symposium will include a keynote address by a distinguished guest speaker and presentations by senior academics.

Submission Guidelines

Closely adhere to the prescribed template and submit your short paper as a word document via EasyChair using the submission-template). Submissions that do not comply with the required formatting criteria will be returned and will be at risk of being rejected. The prescribed format can be found here (please put the link here). Work submitted in short papers should be original.  Do not recycle previously published or currently submitted work.

It will be expected that short papers will be converted to full conference or journal papers in the near future in consultation with your supervisors.
