Starting – ETL503 Resourcing the curriculum

I have just started looking around the ETL503 Resourcing the Curriculum dashboard and I am ready to learn more about ensuring my library collection is the best it can be.

I have had a look around at some of the resources available including suggestions on making my blog better (which I will try to implement).  After completing ETL402 Literature across the curriculum last semester I feel I have a pretty good idea about literature in general and am looking forward to delving into this subject which hopefully will teach me about ensuring the resources in the library meet the needs of the teaching and learning activities my school undertakes as well as ensuring we have books that reflect the diverse nature of our school and students.

I am fortunate in that I job share a TL role with another incredibly knowledgeable TL.  Our library collection is already great, but as curriculums are developing and changing I want to ensure I can be part of the process to update our collection to meet the needs of its users.  I also am interested in how we can incorporate more digital resources into our collection and utilising the wonderful resources that have already been collated by other libraries.
