Tips for Using Twitter in The Classroom

As part of ETL523 Assignment 1 we had to create a Digital Artifact.  As our Wiki was about Social Media and Positive Engagement, I chose to complete my artefact on Tips for Using Twitter in the Classroom.

I created a Powtoon.  It was great fun (and lots of trial and error) and I could see this digital tool working really well in a classroom.  Once created I then uploaded it to You Tube (I now have my own channel – Gillian Cornwell) to share it with the world.  To date it has had 10 views, and to be honest most of those were probably me, but you never know, there is still a chance it can go VIRAL (not!).

However, the learning from this part of the assignment was that there are lots of tools out there that allow us as educators to create and share content.  These tools, with guidance, can also be used by our students.  Creating digital artifacts can be a lot of fun and I encourage teachers to get creating in the classroom and give these wonderful digital tools a try:
