Reflection
The committee unanimously felt that Slido would be the best platform for the Forum in conjunction with Google docs.
We arrived at this decision based on three reasons;
- Familiarity with the management of the platform/software used including analytics,
- The ease of uptake and engagement from participants based on whatever platform/software used,
- The ease of facilitating interactions in the lightning talk sessions and all other sessions.
Slido can help participants make comments, ask questions, answer polls, do a whole variety of things which the administrator can then export with the pro package, infographics and word clouds are automatically created, and there is a record kept which can be used later on for staff development planning or future webinars to follow up queries and areas of interest. This will be added to google doc pages for future engagement of participants and facilitators.
All users are anonymous unless they create or already accounts and mobile numbers are not collected or visible to the administrator. This platform was used in a prior event by the UDRH, and the audience engagement was high, and there were no issues or complaints raised.
