Just a bit broken

Ok, so, I have broken my foot, I am unique and have broken a bone that is not often seen broken. Codeine to the rescue for sleep, which is making it hard to study at times, as well as you know not being able to move into positions suitable for study. As a result, I have been reflecting on my recent assignment results and whilst I am both proud and disappointed it got me thinking about how I lose my way.

Whilst I start out well, planning and starting assignments early, when it comes time to finish it off I have lost my train of thought and so lose the higher marks. I’ve spent hours trying to read over my own work and simply get flustered as I begin to question my work. I understand how students we teach struggle with their own work; we at least have already experienced using the “tools” to write.

Personally I like using the PEEL method. Point, Example/Evidence, Explanation/Elaboration, Link. For me its 4 simple steps. What happens unfortunately is that as I write more my explanation isn’t as clear, something I continue to work on.
