I find it really hard to comment on the acquisition workflow as I was in a unique situation. Whilst the TL had control of many acquisitions within the library, acquisitions for use in the curriculum and in the classroom was in the control of the individual Key Learning Area (KLA) leaders. Acquisitions for the curriculum were collaborative within the KLA with the leader having the final decision based on the assigned KLA budget.
Currently I am not associated with a school, so to make suggestions on the process and possible improvements is not advised. I hope next year when I am ready to re-enter the workforce full-time (when my little ones are a bit older) I will be able to come back to this and have a comparison to analyse the acquisition workflow for a new school.
