In Module 3: Digital Technologies, we are tasks with exploring Web 2.0 tools for the benefit of online learning resources.
I explored Facebook, a Web 2.0 tool that I have been using for years, at first as a way to connect with family and friends, and has now been expanded for other use, like connecting with work colleagues and now fellow students in my online classes.
Facebook is a useful tool for posting and sharing information, interests, photos, and opinions with others to stay connected.
Facebook has been a successful tool for me to stay connected to people, especially those that live at a further distance, for example my family that lives in New Zealand. I also use it to post and view pages and people that share my own interests. Since starting my Pathways Cousrse I have also expanded my use of Faccebook to pages that benefit my online learning. For example MTH173 Online 202130, which is a Facebook pages for Maths students to discuss and ask questions of our module work, quizzes and assessments which I have found helpful as I am an online student.
I would definitely recommend this Web 2.0 tool for future use and to future online students as it has been a helpful way to connect with other students and lecturers during my own online studies.
