Reflection:

The objective of the activity is to show the trend of Digital Fluency in school libraries and how to create knowledge construction and participatory culture via Digital Fluency. I attended this activity as I wanted to know more about the library industry in other countries and compare with Hong Kong school library. It can inspire me to build develop strategies in reading promotion in my workplace. I am able to acquire useful skills from O’Connell, such as the change of searching habit of patrons due to information technology development and the use of technology to attract students in learning and encourage students’ inquiries for both academic and non-academic questions. I have successfully organized a “STEM” book display with the use of information technologies to attract students to take part in library activity in my workplace.
