Taking effective notes is a vital skill to learn. The key word here is ‘effective’.
Simply highlighting or copying big chunks of text is not an effective way to record and digest new information.
Being able to make notes that are in your own words and are easy to search through will really help you to learn new information and use your notes as an effective study resource.
One simple and proven way to make effective notes is to use the Cornell notetaking method. Take a look at this video:
