The world is beyond just us. To be globally responsible we have to consider how the design solution interact with the world.

The water filtration system is globally responsible because:

• It is an example of knowledge that comes from the global community which is then used to create the best possible water filtration method for our design solution which was the reverse osmosis method of filtration. The use of reverse osmosis method of filtration was first discovered in France in 1748 and first implemented in America in 1959.
• As the reverse osmosis filtration system uses minimal energy to operate, it does not generate much carbon footprint. Thus, the reverse osmosis filtration system has minimal negative impact to the global community.
