The determination of more than whether the design would work. It has to be more than just appropriate or fitting, examined in its entirety so that the design would not only solve the design area but also not adversely affect the community and the local environment.
The water filtration system is ethically responsibly because:
- It is economically feasible, reverse osmosis water filtration system would be a far cheaper option to obtain and maintain fresh drinking water source as oppose to other more expensive options such as creating river embankments or desalination plants.
- Takes into consideration pre-existing infrastructure. There are many boreholes in the Cape York region. Some boreholes are no longer in use due to contaminants. The filtration system would enable those boreholes to continue to be used.
- The filtration system is also consistent with the objectives of the Queensland Government to use water efficiently. The water filtration system would allow waters obtained through water bores to be more efficiently used either as drink water or agriculture use.
