Why attribute and copyright?

Attributions and copyright recognise and safeguard the rights of the work’s creator.  By attributing, public recognition is given to the creator and this encourages further creativity and productivity (CoA, 2016). Copyright protects the creator’s intellectual property (CoA, 2016), allowing economic advantages to the creator’s expression of that property, as they control how the material is used and can ensure purity of the content/intent is maintained; this encourages the creator’s further endeavour and progress (ACC, 2019a; Finlay, 2015).
