ABOUT ME:
I am Tanvi Sanga and pursuing my Master of Information Technology at Charles Sturt University, where my specialization is on Network Security. I have chosen the topic Evolution of 5G technologies and its challenges. I am very interested to research this topic as it is the next leap forward in mobile network technology.
PROJECT TITLE:
A Research Towards Evolution of 5G Cellular Network and its Emerging Technologies.
PROJECT PROBLEM DOMAIN:
5th generation mobile network is also known as 5G, as it is designed to collaborate everything virtually including humans, objects, and machines. The rapid increase in wireless broadband has had a high influence on mobile network architecture in the future. Those architectures should able to manage growing demands which include high traffic volume, an increase of small cell and indoor traffic, latency reduction, improved data rate, and good quality of service (QoS). Compared to the 4G network, 5G networks are expected to accomplish considerably improved efficiency and performance to connect the business and empower the human.
BACKGROUND:
In the early days, all the necessary needs like food, clothing, goods, etc were manufactured manually. But this began to change rapidly with the launch of 1G at the end of the 18th century and the activities improved from there towards 2G,3G, and 4G. In the 2010s the 4G network has huge bandwidth mobile services and had high-speed data transfer. Now the revolution started towards 5G networks of mobile technologies as it anticipated to have rapid change in the growth of IoT.
PROJECT AIM:
The mobile communication channel has progressed to analog voice, digital voice, mobile data, and mobile broadband. As it evolved from voice-only services into a complex service and provides greater speed to multiple applications and users. The main objective is to examine the potential technologies that could enhance the standards of 5G in near future.
SCOPE:
5G network has different technologies such as massive multiple input-output(M-MIMO), a device to device communication (D2D), beamforming, small cell deployment, millimeter-wave band etc. We will be using these technologies to tackle the challenges of 5G performance: latency reduction, network capacity and data speed, spectral efficiency, massive connectivity, and the IoT.
OUTCOME:
- Able to understand the industrial evolution towards 1G,2G,3G,4G, and 5G
- Able to know Emerging Technologies for 5G wireless networks.
- Can understand how to tackle the 5G challenges with emerging technologies.
