About the researchers


Shayne Chau – Senior Lecturer in Diagnostic Radiography, Charles Sturt University
I am an academic and clinical diagnostic radiographer with a background in trauma radiography and computed tomography. Drawing from my own journey as a cancer survivor, I have developed a deep passion for improving the experiences of those navigating cancer treatment, with a particular focus on survivorship and scanxiety. Matt Hoffmann – A/Senior District Manager, Mid North Coast Cancer Institute
I am an experienced clinician and leader in the setting of regional Cancer Services. I have a clinical background as a Radiation Therapist, and have expanded my formal education into the areas of Information Technology and Management. Johnathan Hewis – Senior Lecturer in Medical Imaging, Charles Sturt University
I am a diagnostic radiographer by background with extensive experience performing x-rays, CT and MRI scans and caring for individuals impacted by cancer. I am passionate about researching service user experience and promoting person centred, individualised and compassionate care.
