I’m a CSU student by day, artist and film enthusiast by night. This blog will document my reflections and commentary on ART317 subject content. It will show my understanding and working knowledge of the readings, and in particular, convey the relationship between art and books in its historical and contemporary context, as well as the future of the book as we move deeper into the digital age.

Above is an illustration from Jeannie Bakers book ‘Circle’, a children’s author known for her miniature collage constructions. Below are two of my favorite graphic novels that I think are strong examples of how synergy between image and text can be harnessed and make for an impactful method of story-telling.
