Week-10 Final Report and Presentation-II

In week 10 i have completed making my presentation slides. In addition i also started practice giving the presentation. I verbally practice a lot to improve my presentation skills in this week.

I also re-check my final report regarding the format, grammar check and others necessary checks. I tried to make my presentation slide attractive. in addition i also make my report attractive and re-write the sentences which seems not okay to me.

Finally, i prepare and completed my final report and presentation.

Thanks for everyone who cooperated me completing my research, specially to me lecturer.

Week-9 Final Report and Presentation

In week 9, i have started writing the final report. I arrange all the papers and findings of the research was noted and listed with the priority. The 6 literature review article was selected for existing IoT communication protocols finding.

The remaining 6 articles is selected for IoT communication challenges and issues which is included under findings. I create my own table for the findings in this week. In addition i have also documented the report format as per the guidance provided by the lecturers.

I finalized my report and its conclusion in this week. In addition i have started making my presentation slides.

Week 8- Finalizing the Annotated Bibliography and Journal Synopsis

This is the last week of the Annotated bibliography and the journal synopsis. All the annotated bibliography for 12 articles are written and journal synopsis is completed. The written journal synopsis is attached below:

Review of various IOT Communication and Networking. This project aims to identify the various IOT communication and networking protocols in networking stack like data link layer, network layer, application layer and session layer. In addition various communication protocols like HTTP, REST-full-HTTP, CoAP, MQTT, DDS, AMQP and XMPP available in session layers are compared on the basis of various performance parameters. This research also highlights the key issues and challenges in IOT communication and networking protocols and its solution to fill the gaps to overcome those problems. To conduct this project different articles are reviewing by doing comprehensive literature survey. The highlights of the papers collect the main contents which helps identifying various IOT communication and networking protocols of networking stack. The performance of session layer protocols examines on the basis of bandwidth, latency, packet loss, power consumption, overhead, interoperability, security and resources used. In addition I am planning to fill the gaps of IOT communication challenges and issues by gathering different journal, articles, papers and conference reports by various sources. The results will be presented on the basis of reviewing the above papers used in annotated bibliography. The discussion is done to find out the latest technologies used in IOT. Moreover TCP/IP architecture can be used as a base to do research and wireless, WSNs, and different communication can be taken into consideration. IPV4 and IPV6 implementation technique can be used for the better IOT technology uses. This IOT is considering a hot topic of research in present situation. The IOT communication and networking itself is the hottest topic in advancement technology generation. In conclusion IOT communication and networking protocols is the basis to understand the modern millions flavor of smart technologies and path to get closer to it.

Week-7 Still Writing Annotated Bibliography

This is the 4th week of annotated bibliography  and we are almost at the end of annotated bibliography. Written annotated bibliography for all the twelve articles. Furthermore, journal synopsis are also written. Some of the summary of the used articles are given below:

Triantafyllou, A., Sarigiannidis, P. & Lagkas, T.D. (2018, Sep. 13). Network Protocols, Schemes, and Mechanisms for Internet of Things (IoT): Features, Open Challenges, and Trends. ReviewArticle, p. 24.
This paper explores the existing IOT communication technologies which focus on encapsulation and routing protocols. The authors examines the relation between IOT network and emerging IOT applications and provide its layer-based protocol taxonomy.  In addition networking challenges like security, scalability, mobility and energy management are explained. The result of the project lead developers to develop more efficient IOT communication protocols, solving current gaps and upgrades to IPV6 compatibility.

Shang, W., Yu, Y. & Droms, R. (2016). Challenges in IoT Networking via TCP/IP Architectur. Los Angeles: NDN Technical .
This paper explores the technical challenges in IOT networking via TCP/IP architecture and highlights the different solutions provided by IETF. Moreover the authors argues, IP based solutions are not effective and doesn’t fill the gaps of IOT networking challenges.
Hakiri, A., Berthou, P., Gokhale, A. & Abdellatif, S. (2016). PUBLISH/SUBSCRIBE-ENABLED SOFTWARE DEFINED NETWORKING FOR EFFICIENT AND SCALABLE IOT COMMUNICATIONS . New York: IEEE.
In this article the researchers highlights the IOT issues associated with standardization, object mobility, gateway and networking access and QOS. The research particularly focused on Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Data Distribution Service (DDS) middleware IOT network architecture. Furthermore the authors proposed the novel IOT network architecture which improves the performance of IOT and make the network flexible.
