About Me

My name is Nicola Walmsley and I graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2017 with a Bachelor of Teaching (Primary) (Honours). In 2018, I worked as a temporary classroom teacher with a beautiful Year One group. Ever since I decided to be a teacher, I knew I wanted to branch out into Library and Information Studies and 2019 is the year I begin the journey towards Teacher Librarianship. The library has always been an amazing place of learning for myself; I have such magnificent memories of sitting in the library immersed in so many different books and I would love to foster this love of learning in the younger generations of today. My teaching passions include the Visual Arts and Cultural Studies, in particular educating children in languages.
