Learning Theories Used to Apply your Knowledge
This online training session draws upon two predominant learning theories: behaviourism and cognitivism.

Behaviorism entices learners to focus on key points rather than absorbing every minute detail of information. With this learning theory, they will be able to successfully compile a JSEA.

Cognitivism involves the students to actively engage in critical thinking and problem-solving to challenge some pre-existing beliefs, as well as forming new concepts which can be linked together is a meaningful and cumulative way. A consideration for this would be whether students have the mental/cognitive capacity to process information through a technological platform. For these students, it is important to explore options for them to complete the learning modules, or for them to receive assistance in using technology.
