Teacher Librarian (TL) is not just about the two roles the duality of the title suggests. During the course of my study at CSU, I have explored many other dimensions of the role. They are summarized in the word cloud above, which I fear is not exhaustive.
To effectively carry out this multidimensional role under an increasing pressure of doing more with less, a checklist of priorities, that the knowledge gained throughout my study helped me compile, keeps me focused:
- students’ learning experience
- quality of the collection and users’ access to it
- collaboration
- advocacy
- continuous professional development
