My name is Marla Robertson-Jones. I am American but have been living overseas for nearly 20 years. Currently I am living and working in Latvia with my family. My husband is an administrator at our school (the International School of Latvia) and our children have just completed grades 4 and 7 (ages 10 and 13). I have spent most of my career as an elementary classroom teacher, and have been teaching second grade for the past 5 years.

 

At my previous school there was an inspiring teacher librarian and I often found myself thinking that I would love to be able to do what she does. At any school I’ve worked or learned at, the library has always been one of my favorite places so I am excited to finally pursue my dream of becoming a teacher librarian!
