Assessment item 1- Project Title, Abstract, Blog & Progress Report
Project Title: 3D Printing: Hazards and Solutions in Health Care.
About me
Hello everybody, I am Manjari Vemparala. Pursuing my graduation in IT NETWORKING. As I’m building my career in IT Network technologies I have opted a keen interest towards the topic which has the involvement of technology and has a greater scope in the coming years. This project helps me to understand the issues that need to be solved. This project will help me to improve my research skills and knowledge in 3D printing.
ABSTRACT
3D printing process fabricates a three-dimensional article from a PC supported structure (Computer Aided Design) model, for the most part by progressively including material layer by layer, is otherwise called as substance manufacturing, it can be differentiated from customary machining, throwing and producing forms, where material is expelled from a stock thing (subtractive assembling) or filled a form and molded by methods for press and hammering is performed on the substance.
It can also be defined as the assembling of strong items by the statement of layers of material, (for example, plastic) as per determinations that are put away and shown in electronic structure as a computerized model. Though traditionally manufacturing companies do customary assembling methods start with a strong square and remove undesirable material from it, 3D printing develops material in layers, delivering exactly the article which we want with no waste.
Problem domain
Materials utilized in 3D printing are changed during the creation of the particular model by changing their consistency. This procedure is named cure and should be possible in various manners, a dissolving of a hard substance so as to give the ideal structure to the model by the material mutilation, fluid hardening for the development of the structure and powder get its solid form. Traditionally, 3D Printing emphasized more on using polymers for printing as they are very feasible for handling and transporting. However this method increased not only for printing many polymers but also metals and ceramics because of the manufacturing companies’ easy handling.
In this project we are going to analyze the drawbacks, issues and the challenges associated with 3D printing technology. The question is to:
- What challenges we care going to face while working with 3D printing?
- And how are the solutions applied to overcome these threats and risks to overcome while working with 3d printing?
Our main aim is to know the functioning of 3D printing is and know what the best solutions are. The issues related are to examined and the methodology involved in the technology is to be understood.
Background
It is an individual interest that I will manage without taking any outer assistance. This project needs no work environment to support.
Project objectives
The primary goal of the picked individual research is to fundamentally break down hazards, challenges, and difficulties that exist in 3D printing. This venture additionally expects to recommend arrangements that would be applied to oversee and upgrade the utilization of 3D printing. This examination will help many assembling businesses to address different concerns related with 3D printing.
Project deliverables
- The proposed system consists of the rectified issues which are likely to occur and how to minimize the hazards while opting for 3D printing technology.
