I’ve been primary school teaching for three years. Previous to that, I worked as an Education Assistant for four years. This was an amazing experience that I learnt so much from whilst I was completing my teaching degree.
In 2014 I took on the role of Exemplary Educator of ICT with the Catholic Education Office of WA. This allows me to run professional development for teachers in the area of ICT. I am a foundation member of the TeachMeet WA crew. TMWA events are for educators who are keen to connect, collaborate and inspire each other through teacher driven professional development.
I live in Perth with my husband Simon and our daughter, Alonza Serafina. We own a Physiotherapy business (Forte Physiotherapy) that keeps us very busy. I also have two sisters and a brother who are currently exploring the world and achieving their goals.
I love teaching and believe that it is my vocation. I enjoy working in a contemporary learning space where I encourage students to move around often. I am also very interested in problem based learning (see my personal blog for more details on these).
