Collection development and management: Build a greater knowledge and understanding of collection development and management to fulfil user needs, including learning more about evidence based data gathering and analysis. Learn how to assess and update collection development policies, including the processes used to review resources and the selection aids used for acquisition. Prioritise and manage the weeding of resources.

Increase reading engagement and equitable access to programs: Liaise with internal staff, and external  organisations to develop school and local community programs that actively promote literacy, literature and positive reading cultures. Offer greater diversity within reading materials, book clubs, special events, and readings challenges to cultivate a love of reading.

Improve digital literacy opportunities: Create and extend digital literacy programs that include essential ICT skills for different user groups. Provide dedicated e-learning environments and digital services based on user input to boost accessibility and encourage reading and information literacy.
