Podcast – Assessment Three
The is my first ever Podcast and what better way to do than tell the story of Little Red Riding Hood, however, this isn’t no ordinary story telling! I’m setting you a listening challenge to see what you can remember at the end of the story. I’ve made several changes to the story and I want to see how much attention to detail you have inside or you.
Stay tuned for the answers!
Reflection on Creating First Podcast
My first ever podcast wasn’t easy as I’ve never work with audio technology. Talking about my chosen career of Military Police Investigator isn’t the most exciting subject, so I decided to tell a kids story to use it as a listening challenge as I’m often trying to teach my subordinates the value of listening carefully and attention to detail, when talking to witnesses. I think this idea of storytelling can be used as a training tool.
To create the Podcast I used Audacity which I found easy to use as it gave me the freedom to move parts around and put extra sounds in where needed.
I then collected sounds from freemusicarchive.org (FMA) and used the song ‘We Made It’ by Scott Holmes, which has a Creative Common (CC) license of ‘CC-BY-NC (Attribution-Non-Commercial), which means I’m free to share and adapt as long as I give credit. I also used sound bites from myinstants.com.
For the thumb nail I used a free image downloaded from pixbay.com. I then put all of this into Soundcloud and made my podcast public. I then copied the link and added it to my blog page on https://thinkspace.csu.edu.au/liam81/
