The Trials of Apollo: The Hidden Oracle | Rick Riordan

Overview:

The god Apollo is being punished. His father Zeus has banished him and sent him to live on earth in the body of a 16-year-old mortal boy. Without his godly powers Apollo must learn how to survive in the modern world of New York City. But Apollo has many enemies who would like to see him destroyed for good, and he can’t hide in this mortal body forever. At Camp Half-Blood, Apollo befriends a group of demigods who will help him take on his enemies, but he finds himself being haunted by his past lovers as well.

Why Should I Read The Hidden Oracle?

If you enjoy suspenseful, action-packed stories then you will love The Hidden Oracle. Apollo is a refreshing character, and his openness about his bisexuality (being romantically interested in both men and women) is very inclusive and uplifting. You might find that reading his story will encourage you to be open about your own sexuality, or to be more inclusive of others who are different to you.
