About Me

My name is Lawrie (Lawrence) Dalman, I have a 35+ year history in IT through network design and installation management; software, ERP, CRM and expert systems design, creation and implementation; system architecture and implementation. More recently, 20 odd years working in ICT Management, Security and Transformation. I undertook a Master of Cyber Security to validate and enhance my 35 year body of knowledge, hopefully adding value for clients and employers in the process. I have not undertaken tertiary studies for more than 40 years, so the process to date has been as much an education as the course and subjects content.

Choosing the topic for this project was not easy, I began with titles and abstracts for six different topics. The list of topics have been in mind, stewing away since the 201990 session. Thankfully, in that time much has happened which will add value to my project.

I settled on the topic you find as the subject and title of this project “Cybersecurity Standards in US and Australian Defence Supply Chains: Disparity in Standards and Achievability for SMEs”.

As required by this subject, ITC571 202130, I will be blogging project activities and progress reports, publishing content and providing opportunity for feedback through this blog. Feel free to post feedback, as the project and posts are progressing.

I hope you enjoy the topic and my take on it, as I proceed through the project.
