Hi! My name is Hayley, a.k.a. Mrs Doherty. I live in southern NSW with my hubby, two girls (5 and7) and our dogs, cat, chooks, cows and many horses. After beginning my tertiary education with a Bachelor of Tourism Management (UC) I considered myself a qualified tourist and spent the next few years excelling in this profession. My travels included a couple of stints as a summer camp counsellor in the USA which was the catalyst for embarking on a Master of Teaching (Primary) (CSU). I was incredibly lucky to secure a graduate position at the school I am still at ten years later. Midway through last year I took on the role of Teacher Librarian and am super excited by this latest change in direction. Books/reading are way up there on the list of my most favourite things in the world but I also look forward to the Master of Education (Teacher Librarianship) expanding my capacity to excel in the dynamic and multi-faceted role of Teacher Librarian. This blog is the reflection of my journey there.
