The teacher librarian operates in a unique and dual role – that of teacher and librarian. To exist and align in equal standing with teaching colleagues as professionals in the field, it is necessary for teacher librarians to similarly collect evidence in order to support and maintain accreditation at proficient and lead levels. As previously discussed, the Australian Library and Information Association (2014) document provides useful “exemplars of practice” for teacher librarians as to suggestions of what evidence would be useful to collect. Valenza (2015) helpfully collates a list of tools to assist in the collection of this required evidence of practice, some of which are provided below (along with a few additions of my own).
- Google Classroom
- Google Forms
- Padlet
- Socrative
- Flipgrid
- Kaizena
- oTranscribe
- Quizizz
- Kahoot!
- Jamboard
