About me:  My  name is S.V.A. Lahiru Ruwan and I am currently studying Master of Information Technology in Charles Sturt University. I choose the topic Smart Homes and Internet of Things, because i think the topic itself is very interesting and is in a developing phase.

Project Title: Smart Homes, Cities and Internet of Things

Project Problem Domain: Along with the explosive growth of internet, cloud computing, modern wireless telecommunication and big data and rapid increase in its economics, daily life intelligence demand has become higher level. By providing anytime, anywhere connectivity with anyone, internet has got closer to the human life. Now the world internet is expanded as Internet of things (IoT).

Background/Context/Description:World population get increased daily and there are several problems rises up with this. It affects environment, in getting basic needs, health and etc. Therefore, people tend to find solutions for these problems by using modern technology. Sometimes the innovative idea can be for a reduction of a problem or it can be an approach which improves efficiency and effectiveness of a task.

Project Aim/Objectives: Yes biometric have made our lifestyle so much easier and protected our data  quiet securely but should it be used everywhere, should people trust this technology with their precious data . This will be one of my objective of this project.

Scope: – There are many methods to use in Smart Homes, Cities and Internet of Things. Which of the methods is best to use and has low chance of failures and many other topics will be discussed in the project.

Deliverables/Outcomes:The main aim of this research article is to raise the awareness about the importance of IoT smart cities using a recognized organization in the world. Therefore, people get a better understanding about the benefits for health, social and economically by hearing from a recognized source.
