Hi.

Hi!

I’m Jacob. I’m originally from Canada but have been living and teaching Secondary in the north of Melbourne for the last decade.

I currently teach Religion and Society, English, Humanities and Literature.

I began my career teaching ESL in South America in Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires before moving to Australia, to study and teach.

I am pursuing a Master’s in Teacher Librarianship after experiencing the shift in education as a result of last year’s lockdown in Melbourne. During this time my teaching practice shifted greatly as well and I rediscovered the joy of helping learners access and interpret resources, guiding and shaping this new dimension of education, online.

I would like to pursue further research into ways to create engagement and intrigue through learning by discovery in emerging learning environments, while also conserving and providing an appreciation for existing resources, in particular those related to cultural preservation in diasporas.

I look forward to the opportunity to listen and share new ideas while learning more about the field of librarianship and information management.

Kind regards to all!
