Youtube
Exploring YouTube on a mobile device is simple. Like accessing the website on a computer or laptop, using YouTube on a mobile device is very similar. Features that make this mobile experience good include:
- Easy search access. The search tool is easy to navigate. Like on a computer device, the predictive text makes the search experience even more accessible. Navigating that predictive text is as simple as moving your finger to select the text.
- Simple scrolling to navigate to the video you intend to engage with. The ease of scrolling, like most applications on a mobile device, makes engagement with the website effortless.
- Ability to zoom in and out with the two-finger pinch. This makes accessing text easier and fits the mobile device’s screen perfectly.
Wordle
Wordle is a website I access each day on my mobile device. It is a simple word-based game where the aim is to guess the five-letter word each day. The website is similarly laid out on both mobile and non-mobile devices. It does provide features on the mobile device that are good, including:
- The ability to toggle between light and dark modes.
- The ability to zoom in and out.
- The ease of access to previous game result through a one-click process.
Trading Post
The trading post website on a mobile device is similar to the website accessed on non-mobile devices. A few improvements could be made to the mobile access, such as:
- Predictive text when searching.
- The ability to open multiple pages in various tabs.
- The ability of the page to fit the size of the mobile device’s screen.
