What does it mean to be for a teacher librarian to be a leader? What is “leading from the middle?” I don’t know and it makes me anxious! Although I feel quite confident in front of students, even adult students, I still tend to feel quite shy in front of my fellow teachers. I am happy leading a small group of peers but talking in a staff meeting is something I would rather avoid! How am I to put myself out there as a leader? is that was is even meant by this course title? I look forward to seeing if this course will grow my understanding in this area and equip me to share my passion for promoting literacy in schools in a way that feels organic and congenial!
