Well, I must say I was extremely happy that I achieved a pass in this assessment, although I just scraped in by the skin of my teeth. It appears that much has changed since I last studied to be a teacher and was writing essays.
In my assignment, I chose the third option to write my discussion paper about “Library Spaces and Design”. My major mistake was that I talked about the changing library space, makerspaces and genrefication. It was my understanding that all of these fell under this umbrella so I researched all of them. It wasn’t until I received my feedback that I realised I was only meant to write about one. Maybe I missed that stipulation in the discussion forum and course recordings. Maybe it was my fault not asking the question.
Anyway, all of that is in the past and I can only learn from it. Since that assignment and research I did, I have now begun to genrefy my library and it is very exciting. Currently, I have managed to created series boxes for my library and have it set up this way is seeing them fly out the door. I believe when I genrefy all my senior fiction I will see a further increase in borrowing and reading. Here is a picture of some of my collections/series boxes.
I am a little confused about the next assessment, but hopefully, I make it over the line.
