Join us for an inspiring gathering of diverse and innovative minds at the FOAE HDR Colloquium!
Mark your calendars for Monday, 28th and Tuesday, 29th October 2024, as we delve into this year’s theme, “For Country and Community”, celebrating the pioneering higher degree research that spans across our Faculty.

This hybrid event offers the best of both worlds. Connect with us in person at the Building 21 Lecture Theatre (Room 201) on the Wagga Wagga campus, or join virtually if preferred.

There are viewer’s choice prizes for the best presentations, including the coveted $1,000 Best in Show award. This year we’ve also introduced fully funded ‘Future Fellowships’ for Honours and Graduate Certificate Research students.

Each month we hear from one or more of our exciting HDR candidates talking about their research and their own personal journeys to becoming researchers.

You can listen live at 5.30 PM on the third Thursday each month or on-demand on our podcast.

The Australian-American Fulbright Commission offers scholarships to Australian citizens across all career stages. Awardees take part in an academic and cultural exchange, pursuing research or study at a U.S. institution, experiencing life abroad and bringing back their knowledge and experience to share with their communities in Australia.

Which Fulbright category is right for you?

POSTGRADUATE — for postgraduate students undertaking their Australian PhD to conduct research in the U.S. for 4 months up to 10 month OR supports enrolment in a graduate degree program (dependent on award).

POSTDOCTORAL — for individuals who have completed their PhD in the past 5 years or who will have their PhD conferral before the proposed date of departure to undertake postdoctoral research in the U.S. for 4–10 months.

In case you missed it! PhD with or by Prior Publication: Research Cafe

On the 19th of February the Faculty of Education and Arts hosted a full-day professional development workshop for supervisors and candidates on the topic: “Ph.D. with Publications or by Prior Publication: Research Café”.

Dr Donna Bridges and Dr Monica Short organised the workshop and facilitated the small group activities. Rohena Duncombe and Nicola Ivory managed the online space and facilitated the online activities. The workshop aimed to:

  • Promote and grow the HDR program at CSU
  • Grow people’s skills and knowledge about PhD with publications or prior publications
  • Advance the community of practice regarding PhD with publications and prior publications.
