Regardless of whether you have already identified a specific career path, or are still considering your options, you should develop a plan for your professional career and identify the skills you need to get there.
Global Sustainability
Explore new and innovative approaches to sustainability and find practical ways to achieve global goals such as climate action, poverty eradication, and quality education. Learn how to reflect critically on and apply key sustainability principles to your research practice and communicate and collaborate with others to present and defend your position on global sustainability
Mental Wellbeing for Researchers
The Mental Wellbeing for Researchers module will provide you with basic strategies to support helpful thinking habits, raise awareness of mental wellbeing issues, and understand where to access further help and how to make your research journey stronger.
Practice-led research in creative arts, media, and design
This module aims to provide a space for Practice-led researchers to connect, explore current research strategies within the creative arts and international benchmarks and quality assurance indicators in Practice-led. We will discuss relevant exemplars of practical methods and approaches in Practice-led Research.
Public Policy
Many research projects can influence public policy. This module explores the meaning of public policy, and how it can be contextualised in your research environment. This is a how-to guide for engaging with industry and government to influence the policy environment.
Research Integrity in Practice
Explore research integrity – in practice. How to conduct research appropriately, within your studies and in your work-life, beyond the university. Consider ethical principles and their applicability to real life. Principled decision- making in our professional lives frequently involves discussion and negotiation, so we will be using scenarios to prompt your decision making.
Module participation requires flexible & online study for about 3-5 hours per week during five weeks, at a time that suits you.
