ONLY IF WE LET THEM

Reflecting on Bonanno’s speech at ASLA, 2011 conference: A profession at the tipping point: Time to change the game plan and Bonanno’s 2015 A profession at the tipping point (revisited) I believe TL’s will become extinct ONLY if we let them.  In a time when everything must be justified we must make our position as a TL a vital, integral part of the school community in which we work.  TL’s need to establish and communicate their professional worth,  they need to continually develop their skills and keep up to date with the changing technology available and the curriculum that teachers need to teach.
