Beware Bold Beginner Blogger ALERT!

Hi there… Well I’ve done the online learning quiz and its official! I am a Bold Beginner in the digital age. I recently answered some cryptic questions honestly and I have discovered that a bold beginner is a real thing.
You might be surprised at this as I am considered a young (I am 18) woman on board with technology and how to use it in this digital era.
Well it is a big fat NO and it is not to be- I have had to acknowledge that I have a severe lack of experience in the digital world. My usage so far has been limited to my social media favourites (and you know what they are Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest) and email correspondence and other direct messaging and communication.
You won’t be surprised that as a consequence I have had nil interest from employers using “snail mail” and dropping off resumes to businesses instead of visiting them through the virtual world.
Jumping on the digital data freeway I have now created a LinkedIn account https://www.linkedin.com/in/eva-reith-snare-1529521a4/
to further my journey and experience in the digital world. This digital direction allows yours truly to share relevant work and business information, with other contacts and users, that can be viewed through my custom-made profile that I have total control over. This platform gathers data and distributes data, that is host to 400-500 million profiles on a national and international stage. This equates to a never ending supply of job opportunities. Nearly too good to be true, right? I hope so.
I am now very open to discussing other avenues to broaden my understanding and to make the most of the existing connections that I have and didn’t realise, and to add to my address book of people that are my peers and my professional network.
SO WHAT-you might say, well I have now discovered that making friends and connections online it is just like a time efficient handshake, a cost effective way to meet up, an accessible way to make contact in most environments and scenarios. So, no excuses for being slack and I am on the fast track to the future.
I am now going to utilise my online community that I have taken for granted. My Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn sites all have the potential for me to reach out professionally and socially to “meet and greet” future friends and connections, that will allow me to familiarise myself with these forums on a regular basis. Hopefully I will be able to harness and take advantage of any opportunities that arise from this directive.
USE IT OR LOSE IT/GOTTA TO BE IN IN TO WIN IT
I have realised that if I am not set up on platforms such as LinkedIn I am going to be left behind in the digital age and my brand, my profile, my experience and my connections will not be used to its full potential. It is becoming very apparent that if you are NOT on sites such as LinkedIn, recruiters and representatives for businesses they may speculate as to the reason why you’re not. Are you digitally ignorant? Not internet worldly? It is expected for candidates to be on these sites in this day of online interaction.
Once established on LinkedIn I will be able to search for jobs, research other businesses, read news and engage with my connections on industry topics and stay updated all the while establishing, editing and updating my resume, create content that is relevant to my profile and interests and then being able to reach out to those that are viewing my profile and are keen to engage.
