Search Engine
You will probably be most familiar with using Google to search for information online. While Google is a popular choice, it is not the only search engine available for searching the internet, and not always the most effective option for finding resources for school work. An alternative you may use for this unit is Carrot2.
Carrot2 – https://search.carrot2.org/#/web clusters your search results into topics, making it easy to search for and organise research for school assignments and similar purposes. Typing a question or string of key words into the main search box will result in results coming back organised into categories and clusters so that it is easier to find specific, targeted information for an assignment, rather than sifting through pages of Google results. You can also simply press a tab on your search results to get a visual tree map or pie chart (like the examples below) to make it extra simple to look through and spot relevant sources.
