The Elevated Flat-Pack is a sustainably sourced replicable visitors shelter.

This shelter was designed to allow tourists visiting Cape York to get a unique experience of living on country, whilst at the same time providing superior comfort, safety and accessibility when compared to traditional camping and caravaning.

It’s simplistic yet rugged design enables the visitors shelter to better withstand the harsh nature of the Cape York peninsula. Its raised footings reduce the impact of flash floods which are very prevalent during the Capes’ wet season. Its cyclone-resistant screws enable the shelter to be more durable during cyclones. This is a must for any structure in cyclone-prone areas such as Cape York.

It is hoped that with the features of our design solution, we are able to attract more tourists to the area and therefore promote the natural beauty of far-north Queensland…

Come join Jonathan and Miranda on our live Zoom on Wednesday 10th June to listen to our team speak about all the features of the Elevated Flat-Pack, mention our design process and describe why we chose the visitors shelter, as well as ask any questions you may have.

Hope to see you there!
